11-1 – Welsh Folk Dancing- Gwyl Plant Gwent
A colourful spectacle as the children dance in traditional Welsh costumes.

12.00 – Harvey Hood talking on `Reading & Understanding Sculpture` talk

ALL DAY – Ben Dearnley, sculptor
Ben will be demonstrating his craft for most of the day and
providing ‘Have a go’ opportunities to carve.

3-3.45 – Aneirin Karadog – Poetry Reading followed by Q&A
Aneirin Karadog – poet, broadcaster, performer and linguist. In 2016 he won the chair at the National Eisteddfod in Monmouthshire. Aneirin has been the Children’s Poet of Wales. He was a rapper and a member of the bands ‘Genod Droog’ and ‘Diwygiad’. An all-round creative guy. Aneirin will be in the Bard’s Chair to do a reading, discuss the poetry and participate in a question and answer session.

4.30 – 6.00 – Ben Okri and Rosemary Clunie – The Magic Lamp: Dreams of Our Age
Booker Prize-winning writer Ben Okri and artist Rosemary Clunie will be at Abergavenny Museum where there is an exhibition of the original artworks from The Magic Lamp. They will be talking about their collaborative work and copies of the book will be available to buy and for signing by them both. Drinks will be served. (Wine provided by Zonin 1821)

Please note this event is in conjunction with the reading by Ben Okri at the Angel at 8pm. Tickets are £12 and are available from the Borough Theatre in person or on 01873 850805.
