After making sculpture for thirty years I still, with every piece I make, find the working process both comfortingly familiar and refreshingly surprising.
My primary subject is the human form: the actual figure and the figure as depicted by other artists in any medium and at any phase in history.
Most of my work is cast into bronze or resin from originals in (very) mixed media, including a lot of reclaimed wood and found materials. I do the mould-making and resin casting in my own workshops with a full-time technician and my bronzes are cast in a M B Fine Arts Foundry in Pembrokeshire.
