My deepest passion is to create works of sculpture from the heart and not the head, and to find new and dynamic ways of sharing my vision. My works here showcase a contemporary approach to some timeless classics: ‘Song of the Wind’ was inspired by my walks along the West Wales coast path, mingled with my own experience as a musician; while ‘First Light’ was inspired by the ancient standing stones in this part of the country, as well as the traditional stained glass in many of our churches and cathedrals. The hand-painted glass references windows in a 12th century church in Haverfordwest. Traditional techniques used in a modern context form the basis for my practice as a sculptor.
